In the heart of Nature Park Lillebælt lies the Hindsgavl Peninsula.
The Hindsgavl Peninsula, loved near and far, lies at the center of Nature Park Lillebælt. A beautiful stretch of land surrounded by the calm waves of the Belt, cliffs, beaches, forests, and red deer roaming the open savanna. The peninsula hides ramparts, (robber) legends, treasures, and memories.
Over the centuries, noblemen on horseback, kings waiting at the landing pier, families on excursions, and souls seeking healing have passed through. Today, the peninsula welcomes conference guests and families from afar looking to connect and unwind.

At the narrowest point of the Little Belt, a military battery was built in the 1800s, playing a role in the wars of 1808, 1848–50, and 1864.
West of today’s Hindsgavl Castle lie the remains of the original royal stronghold – Hindsgavl Castle – marked by ancient ramparts.
In a manor landscape dating back to the 13th century, red and fallow deer graze peacefully in meadows and woods.
This historic 40,000 m² manor park includes the tea pavilion “Sorgenfri,” adorned with verses by H.C. Andersen, who loved visiting Hindsgavl.
Takes you through stunning coastal landscapes, recreational natural areas – cliffs, forests, beaches, and meadows with picnic areas and shelters.
