Bridgewalking - The prospect of something special

CLAY Museum of ceramic art Denmark
Clay is Denmark's Museum of Ceramic Art. The museum houses the Nordic region's largest collection of ceramics and is located in a spot with an amazing view out over the Little Belt. At Clay, you will find a unique exhibition of ceramic art, artistic craftsmanship and the largest collection of Royal Copenhagen porcelain.

Whale Watching
Head out to the Little Belt and enjoy the beautiful nature on land and sea. Why not try to spot porpoises, one of the smallest species of whale in the world as they swim in the Little Belt.

The Old Little Belt bridge
The old Little Belt Bridge is a combined railway and road bridge connection between Jutland and Funen. From Middelfart, you have a view of the iconic beautiful old bridge

The New Little Belt bridge
The New Little Belt Bridge with three motorway lanes over the Little Belt is a central link between Jutland and Funen located near Middelfart.

Hindsgavl Deer park
Take a walk in the scenic hilly terrain and get up close to the deer park’s large population of fallow and red deer. As you walk around the park, you can experience the deer that graze in the forest and on the plain.

Lillebæltværftet (Shipyard)
Right by the Little Belt, surrounded by the hanging gardens in the heart of Middelfart’s old town district, you will find the well-preserved old shipyard. This is a place where architecture, history and innovation all come together. The ship yard was where "little belt dinghies" were built. The Clinker building is therefore included on UNESCO's list of irreplaceable sites of cultural heritage and the Little Belt Boatyard is one of the few places in the world where boats continue to be built according to the old tradition.

Henner Friisers Hus
Here you will find Middelfart’s oldest house, which dates back to around the 16th century. The house contains an exhibition about porpoises, porpoise whaling and the history of Middelfart. Take part in history and become part of the story. You could also try a Podwalk about porpoises that will guide you through the town.

Strib Automobilmuseum
Located on a gigantic scenic space with a view of the Little Belt, you can experience a large collection of vehicles from bygone times. The museum offers a unique collection of famous cars.

Humlemagasinet in Harndrup
Humlemagasinet in Harndrup is a cultural gem – filled with history, art, and beautiful gardens. Explore exhibitions about Sigfred Pedersen and a unique collection of handcrafted porcelain dolls.

The Hanging Gardens
The Hanging Gardens are a vibrant and fascinating façade of vertical gardens, which meets the Old Harbour and the sea with a town wall in full bloom. Above the Old Harbour, you will find Middelfart’s old quarter with its narrow streets full of atmosphere and idyll. Here you can also experience KlimaByen, the Climate City.
