Ejby

Here you can walk in the scenic Wedellsborg Hoved area surrounded by the sea to the south and enjoy the tranquillity of a walk in Funen's largest area of marshland, Ejby Mose, to the east. There are especially large numbers of singing nightingales in this area. To the north, you can experience the Fjelsted Skov’s transformation from a roadside inn to a sustainable hotel and conference centre over three generations.

Wedellsborg Hoved has a reef that extends far into the water. The reef is comprised of large rocks and can only be accessed by foot or bicycle.

The protected area of Wedellsborg Banks includes parts of Håre Bjerge, Håre Mose and Lunge Bjerge as well as a small part of the river valley at Brænde Ådal.

East of Ejby lies the Ejby Mose marshland area. This is one of Funen's largest areas of marshland. Ejby Mose is a valuable habitat for many animals and plants – 245 different plant species have been recorded and the area is home to many small birds, including nightingales.

The hiking route at Ejby and the Kingstrup Mose marshland is a beautiful 4.5 km trip in scenic surroundings. The landscape is varied with open water bog holes, reed marshland, meadows, cultivated fields, woodland and scrub.

The gatehouse to the Wedellsborg Slot castle. Alderhuset was built by the count in 1689. It is built in a staggered renaissance style with curved gables.
